Education is an integral part of belonging to a quilt club. It enables you to learn new techniques, learn about new tools, and expand your quilting knowledge and skill.

Desert Lily Quilters has monthly demonstrations that are a part of the meetings. One and two day classes are offered several times a year for a nominal fee. They are taught by members who have achieved a skill level in a certain aspect of quilting or by teachers that tour professionally. Frequently the professional teacher will do a trunk show for all members to see as well as teach their class. Classes have included dying fabric, embroidery, appliqué, embellishments, special piecing techniques, fabric painting, machine quilting, and much more. We also offer bus trips, summer retreats, and other events.
